Garmin Does the Work While You Have Fun

Just this past weekend, I rode out to an amusement park with a group of friends. One of our more road-ready friends volunteered to transport the rest of us. And of course we were more than happy to leave the driving to him. He had a Garmin and that made for easy navigation to our destination.

I rode shotgun and since the Garmin was mounted to the windshield and turned to face the driver, I wasn’t able to see much of what was going on. However, one of the group who sat in the back paid careful attention to what was going on. At one point we had to get off of the highway to get gas. In order to return to the highway, I noticed that we needed to make a rather sharp turn. My friend in the back saw more that that: he said he was amazed at how accurate the Garmin was. It pointed the driver (who had turned the sound off) right to that sharp turn. You see, the highway entry was not labeled. So relying on signage would have done no good in this instance.

On the way back, we decided to stop for food. Our driver just told the Garmin that we were looking for food on the route that lead away from the amusement park and in an instant his Garmin gave us a list of restaurants, ordering them from nearest to furthest away.

Action GPS has some great Garmin models for sale, both new and refurbished, so check them out to make your travels easier this summer.
