Description
A tidal island that can be reached by causeway +/- 2 hours of low water. Lots of Viking archaeology built on some Pict archaelogy. Was blowing a hoolie again today (F8 gusts) so had to keep well away from the cliff edges (at least that's my excuse). So we didn't see the promised puffins / fulmars etc. For any sailors, the first few photos are of Hoy Sound (Stromness) wind against tide at neaps!
