Description

A lovely sail down from Mylor (Falmouth) down and round The Lizard.

Once round The Lizard things became a little more arduous as we didn't have the angle on the wind we'd hoped for and had to motor sail into short, choppy seas (I tried to take some photos showing the waves / spray with my new waterproof camera but the results are "mixed"). The chop reduced the boat speed considerably and continued until we were pretty much level with Newlyn (have a look at the speed graph lower down this page which shows this quite dramatically!).

After a brief diversion to Penzance to look at their "waiting buoys" (we didn't fancy them), we anchored for the night just south of the harbour wall / entrance to Newlyn.
