Description
Lovely paddle down from SYC, around the Pole Sands and back again. Had a poke around a new channel that seems to be opening up from buoys 7/8. A line between the lifeboat station and just a little east of the Parsons Nose (off Dawlish) gives what seems to be slightly deeper water than the marked channel. However, it doesn't seem as wide and wouldn't be easy to identify coming back into the estuary. Had a 3.9 metre tide and some wind to push me back to SYC - lush!
