- Another kayak trip to the Pole Sands. First paddle of the year and with the 2nd highest tide of the year. Out with a strong tide and just a little wind against. Back with tide and wind. Sun even came out - ideal. No hound this time as the water is probably a little cold if he fell in. Meant I got to read a whole chapter of my book on the Pole Sands with no nagging from the dog (just nagging from the wife - which is easier to ignore),
