- Put the kayak in at Bantham back beach and then paddled up river to a few hundred yards past the bridge at Aveton Gifford. At AG pretty much at high tide (on a neap tide) - wouldn't want to miss the timings by more than an hour or two given how that pretty much all of the Avon dries out. Lovely trip - very, very hot.
