Meldon on Dartmoor 2015-01-18 A walk over Dartmoor just below the snow line. A brisk sunny winter's day walk on Dartmoor with the temperature about 3 or 4 degrees. Reservoirs, the Granite Way and over Meldon Viaduct on the way back.

Scorhill on Dartmoor 2015-01-24 A new take on one of my favourite Dartmoor walks. Has just about everything... high open moors, stone circles, bronze age settlements, stone clapper bridges, tors, deep wooded valleys and a castle (well - a small one). With a dog ahead who doesn't like to get his paws muddy, we even managed to stay dry. The more "eagle eyed" will spot that Scooby deliberately tries to ruin just about every photo he is in,

Kitty Jay 2015-10-25 A walk round Dartmoor near Hound Tor. Past the roadside grave of Kitty Jay and through fields full of magic mushrooms (or so my wife with her biology degree told me), through the deserted medieval village at the foot of Hound Tor and then up to Hound Tor for lunch.

Dartmoor walk 2016-06-05 Because Scooby gave me such a nice welcome after being away for a week sailing (me - not Scooby), we took him for a walk on Dartmoor. Up high on the moor near the Warren House inn. A lovely short walk on Dartmoor.

Dartmoor walk 2020-10-17 A walk on higher Dartmoor - near Lydford. The first half of this walk would be great in wetter weather as it is along old peat cutting tramways. The second would be a bit more muddy. If doing again - a reminder to ourselves - turn right before the old lime kilns to avoid the really boggy path. Max elevation 549 metres but only 287 metres climbed so fairly gentle.
