| Day sail instead of Newport Trophy | 2012-06-23 | A breezy sail into a southerly F5 wind while taking advantage of a gap between the high winds. Tried out sailing with a sea anchor for the first time.
A slightly nervous wait for the tide to rise enough to get back in to the Exe while hoping that a forecast force 8 would only come in later as per the forecast.

| To St Davids and back | 2016-10-27 | Slightly longer cycle ride today to make up for doing the last 2.5 miles yesterday by car (due to having broken three spokes on the rear wheel).
So it was on the "spare bike" today which I hadn't ridden in about a decade. That's a Ridgeback Genesis Day 2. I stopped riding it as the estuary path used to be too rough for it. With the new cycle way its an ideal bike.
At maybe a couple of stone lighter than the normal bike (with its panniers etc) and with no breeze at all, it felt like cheating.
Keeping up with Liz was much easier than the last couple of time!

| Xmas day paddle | 2018-12-25 | Out of Cockwood Harbour and up to Starcross Yacht Club for coffee, mince pies and a game of football with Scooby. A bit muddy when we got back to Cockwood Harbour.

| Pole Sands Paddling | 2023-12-26 | Well not so much the Pole Sands as just off Dawlish Warren because the swashway was filled with buzzy little motorboats doing their Boxing Day race.
Nice paddle - very little wind.
