Down from the rather delightful Wheams Campsite to St Margaret's Hope looking for a pint and dinner. The pub with the best reputation for food claimed to be full for dinner when we called in at 17:30 (probably don't like…
A coast path walk from Treen campsite (near Porthcurno which is near Lands End). The guide book said 4.5 miles but it ended up being 7.2 miles AND with lots of up and downie bits as well. Very nice though.
From Treen Campsite (one of our favourites), a mixture of clifftops and a little inland to Porthgwarra. Back past the Minack Theatre.
Scooby wouldnt have been happy if we'd come to north Devon and not given him a run along Woolacombe Beach at low tide. In a fairly wet and windy two week holiday, this was the only walk where we actually got soaked by th…
A walk down into Fowey and then a ferry from Fowey to Megavissey. On the trip into Fowey the ferry had spotted a large whale and porpoises but no such luck on our trip. From Megavissey, we walked round to Portmellon. The…
Stayed at Penhale camp site near Fowey. A short walk to Polkerris Beach where we knew that dogs were banned but didn't know that the ice cream shop would shut up shop at half four - outrageous!
Camper vanning in West Parley for a meet up with old school friends. Went for a walk down Church Lane past the Multiple Sclerosis day centre and then on to the River Stour. Lots of Whiteley family memories / connections.
Checking out the walk from the campsite to the nearest pub to see whether we'd want to do it in the dark after a couple of pints (answer - not really). Ponsanooth viaduct quite impressive.
Was meant to be a walk around Dodman Point but we got up too late and it was just too hot for an elderly, black doggie! So down to the rather lovely Gorran Haven and then back via Vault Beach.
A short walk from Dennis Cove Campsite into Padstow.
Slight variations on an old walk. The cafe at Porthgwarra is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays - damn! Gwenapp Head is so much more inspiring than Lands End. Spotted some Cornish Choughs eating cow shit. Back through fields…
Down from our campsite for a quick walk. First stop a really rather large single standing stone. Orkney farmers and Tye hound conspired to make it slightly difficult to get to. Still no injuries (people or hounds) and no…
