| Work cycle ride | 2018-08-17 | Work cycle ride. Slightly scary moment on teh way back when something flew into my mouth and hit hard right at the back of the throat. Didn't see it come out so unsure if I'd been stung in the throat, swallowed it or what! Stayed where it happened - by the swing bridge - in case the throat started swelling up and I needed assistance. After a while Rowan G cycled past and stopped. Cycled back with Rowan - who would have been in charge of calling for help if needed.
Back home - with a very sore throat but no swelling, Phew!

An absolute beast of a ride back - directly into a southerly wind that Windguru said was gusting force 8. Pitch black and bucketing down. By the time I got to the Turf Locks, the rain was mostly horizontal.
