First full family paddle of the year. Ideal conditions - tide with us on the way out and the wind got up a little to give us wind and tide pushing us on the way back.

A lovely spring day with big tides for a paddle down to the Pole Sands.

With two of the three camper van inhabitants not waking up until gone 09:30, we opted for a lazy / veg / reading day today. Scooby got 2 walks along the beach.

An 06:45 start and 350 miles got us to the south of the Lake District by about 2 p.m. In time for a short yomp to Grange-over-Sands. A very pretty village on the north of Morcombe Bay. But where the hell where the pubs?…

Just about a perfect sunny October paddle on the Exe Estuary. Had a close encounter with a seal who seemed to want the bit of sand I was sitting on while having my lunch.

Light winds - average tides. Lovely paddle.
